MAYWEATHER!!! The Future of Boxing

By all accounts', you can say that "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather IS the future of boxing. This man's star is shining bright and still rising. Only 28 years or age, he has fought many of the top fighters and held titles in the jr. lightweight div, light weight div, the jr. welterweight div, and welterweight div.

With the most recent win over Zab Judah, Mayweather, undeniably is P4P the best fighter out there. There are a bevy of opponents that Floyd can pick from. Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosely, Antonio Margorito etc.

You can bet Floyd is going to break bank with a De La Hoya fight. I am sure that would be Floyds most logical choice. There is no doubt IMO that Oscar would lose this fight. The closest Oscar has come to losing a boxing match convincingly was against Shane Mosley. Floyd is more rounded, put together fighter than Mosley ever has been. I can't see to many competitive rounds between The Golden Boy and Pretty Boy.

Another note: Floyd would make a lot of dough fighting these big names, but It would be more satisfying to build a resume for Boxing Hall of Fame greatness IMO! He is well on his way for sure.

In the near future, it would be great fun to talk with my son, Joseph, about the golden days of boxing, when there was this great champion who took on all comers, fought every top fighter there was to fight in 5 weight divisions and was also, undefeated! Floyd evokes these feelings from me like a proud father. You can bet Mayweather is history in the making right before our very eyes.

Evidence of Floyds march to $$$ and greatness comes at his most recent buy out of his contract to promoter Bob Arum. Floyd's mind has matured to the degree where wisdom and intelligence is taking place in a talented fighter who is at his peak in all categories: Mind, body and soul! Pretty boy knows at this very moment what is at stake here. To sum it all up in one word, EVERYTHING!

So the most compelling question is this; who can stop Floyd? Who can move that magic #0 in his lose department to a not so pretty #1? Will it be the Golden boy? Shane Mosley? Antonio Margorito? I can't see any real legitimate threat who can dethrone the Pretty Boy! It will be exciting just to see some one TRY!

I see the future, and the future of Boxing is "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather!
